Women and Carbon Tax

The Abbott as Minister not for Woman

1419301353603As 2014 draws to an end, the Credlin Government spokesperson, Tony Abbott, went on TV to talk positive about the changes to the Ministerial portfolios just announced. It was supposed to be an opportunity to finish the year with a positive after being such a crap government all through 2014.

But he blew it. Again! Boss Credlin will be very unhappy. Again!

When asked about what he had achieved as the Minister for Women – having achieved absolutely zilch –  he came out with another clunker!

“”Well, you know, it is very important to do the right thing by families and households,” Abbott said. “As many of us know, women are particularly focused on the household budget and the repeal of the carbon tax means a $550 a year benefit for the average family.””

This was soon linked back to his other infamous statement about the women of Australia being at home doing the ironing.

There has been a host of fabulous responses – here’s just one:

if you know of others – let me know

and then there’s all the previous stuff that has come from this creature – click here if you really need to be reminded of the low level of politician that runs this country today.
