It was Saturday 28th March 2026 when we made that pleasurable trip across town to Gibson’s Auctions to see the latest offering of photographs, paintings and prints. Some of these auction exhibition are great opportunities to see works that may disappeared again into private hands.

Some time in the latter part of 2025, we wandered along Maling Road in Canterbury (Melbourne). This is a small street with loads of character. It is not a main thoroughfare for the suburb, so light traffic only. We had been perviously to the antiques shop and this time went to find some lunch.

It was a few days before Christmas when we went for a mid morning breakfast and then for a wonder along one of our favourite streets in Melbourne, Rathdowne Street in North Carlton.
