Photography is alive and well in San Francisco
I noticed this report on how the San Francisco photography collection is on the move during renovations. It is always good to see such simple logic at work. Full marks to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA)
Photography exhibitions remain popular and getting the collections out to other venues for the public to see simply makes sense. Australian public art gallery managements should take note of this SFMOMA initiative and think about putting more resources into photography exhibitions both in-house and putting them out on tour.
