PIX: The Magazine that Changed Everything (1938–1972)

A SLNSW photography exhibition I will not see

The State Library of New South Wales has mounted an exhibition and produced a catalogue for an exhibition of photographs dating back to PIX magazine 1938 – 1972. Having moved to Melbourne in 2023, regrettably it is very unlikely that I will see this exhibition.  Bugger! That’s what happens when you move your home to a wonderful city that has lots to offer and now we have minimal need to travel.

The exhibition title is PIX: The Magazine that Changed Everything (1938–1972)
while the catalogue is PIX: The Magazine that Told Australia’s Story

Despite not being able to see the exhibition, everything about it says – it is a must see for those with an interest in photography, an interest in Australia’s social history and those who have an interest people and their behaviour.
