there was great food wonderful cakes

Many months ago we wandered into Rathdowne Street in Calton North and found a wonderful cafe for food, cakes and coffee and super friendly service. BUT

It closed 26th July 2026!!!!

I am very wary of cafes as so many serve the same unoriginal food and usually bland coffee with minimal friendly service. As for the cakes in most cafes, too many have the standard stuff and far too much blandness.

Biscotteria Carlton North was none of the above. It was a gem.
