The information below is about photography exhibitions in Sydney over the period from the end of 2014 into the early parts of 2015.
This is my selection and may be added to as I come across exhibitions I would like to recommend. If you know of others, let me know. But I will only upload stuff I am interested in and/or can recommend.

Stills Gallery – click here.
Stills are an exclusive gallery of contemporary photography and is always worth a visit. At the time of writing they have more wondrous works by Polixeni Papapetrou. This exhibition ends 29 November. Click on the image above for more on the exhibition – or here for her portfolios of work.
The next exhibition is an exhibition of loads of great work by a host of the gallery’s artists such as Narelle Autio, Ian Dodd, Megan Jenkinson, Michael Light, Steven Lojewski, Deb Mansfield, Polixeni Papapetrou, Trent Parke, Garry Trinh, Justine Varga, Kawita Vatanajyankur, and Beverley Veasey. click here.

I have looked through the gallery website but at this stage have been unable to see what photography exhibitions are to be on immediately after the one above. However there is news for March 2015:
The Photograph and Australia, 21 March – 8 June 2015.
This is a major exhibition of hundreds of photography. The exhibition will have a special catalogue. click here.

Manly Art Gallery
A FURTHER SHORE, 7 November to 26 April 2015.
The photographic collection of Robert Dein, amassed over many years, presents a kaleidoscopic view of beaches and their inhabitants across several continents and generations.
The images on display will remind us of the diverse role beaches play across cultures, from 19th century Europe and Asia, the USA in the 1940s and Australia in the 1980s.

Badger and Fox Gallery
This is a new art gallery and it has advertised a special photography exhibition.
It looks like a wonderful mix of photography. As I am yet to visit this new gallery in Surrey Hills Sydney, so any more comments will have to wait. Over to you to have a look.

Australian Centre of Photography
Anne Ferran, Shadow Land
8 November 2014 – 18 January 2015
This is a survey exhibition of Ann Ferran’s work of the last 30 years. I love her work, but it is not always photography as she has concentrated more in recent times on very beautiful installations. click here.
I would like to provide you with the ACP’s program for 2015. Once upon a time the forward program was always online and created loads of interest. The sad news is that at the time of writing their website has no clues as to what is happening in 2015.
This could be a bad reflection on the new management of this once great Australian icon for photography that was once regarded as a highly energetic and creative centre.
There is a complex and sad story to be told one day on the very recent history of the ACP.

The White Rabbit Gallery
This gallery is not a photography gallery. They have changing exhibitions of contemporary Chinese art. There is usually a photography component. So it is worth a trip into Chippendale to take in their current exhibition. Click here.
