Will we survive this experience?

For someone who watches all manner of political goings-on, it has become difficult not to be concerned about the 2024 Presidential election and how this will play out for Australian society.

At the time of writing this, President Biden is still to run for election again in November. While the terrible circumstances around the attempted assassination of Trump has occupied the airwaves for days, deep concerns linger about how their electoral processes are completely screwed.

I have been reading about Kamala Harris for several years now. There is little doubt that the mainstream press has been led to believe that she would not make a good president.

I disagree.

There’s a very good article online – Inside Story – that outlines that she needs to be handed the presidency now and have time to run a good campaign.

The Wikipedia entry on Kamala Harris is worth reading. She is definitely qualified for the job.

I fear this will not happen simply because of the dominate conservative forces and voices within the democratic party. They may say they encourage women into the top jobs, but the reality looks like something else when confronted with Kamala who runs rings around any of the favoured blokes being considered.

The world could be a far better place if Kamala Harris were the US President. Now!
