Sadly our political system has been corrupted.  As much as we wish we lived in a democratic country–sadly it is not so.

This is not to say that this country isn’t wonderful and the system of government has served as fairly well.

But all that has changed to the worse in recent decades whereby the governing parties have been corrupted by the Big Corporates – and they come in many forms.
