fighting for attention

Wandering through Melbourne University a few months ago, I noted the voices trying to get attention on the corridor notice boards.

These were crowded spaces, with latest notices covering up the others and there being layers of paper. It was March and only a month or so into the student year. However the earlier notices were now buried – almost gone from view.

Apparently there is little respect for former notices among those putting up the latest notices.

Looking at those notices that were visible or at least partly visible, they speak for themselves on what students are interested in, the politics of some and the presence of religious groups.
