Auto-Photo: A Life in Portraits

CCP photo-booth exhibition

Was not too sure what to expect from the exhibition of the photo record of the guy who ran photo-booths here in Melbourne. Please to say, this was an intriguing experience on several levels. A visit is recommended.

The story of this guy is fascinating, the work by artists using photo-booth was a revelation and then there was the fun of observing the lines of people queueing to have their photo taken in the photo-booth.

above photo: the entrance to the gallery.

A chance to pretend you were having a photo taken ina booth.

I estimated by watching the pace of the queue, that it would have taken at least 45 minutes or more to get to enter the photo-booth.  All those in the queue obviously accepted this wait in order to get hold of a photo of themselves – and to have had this experience.
